Attending the Financial Fitness Forum in 2015 opened my eyes to a whole new world of financial wisdom. With all the speakers being Registered Financial Planners (RFP), I knew then that this was something I wanted to do. However, life got in the way, and it wasn’t until May 2021 that I finally had the chance to take part in RFP Batch 89’s 8-Saturday online sessions.
The program itself is designed for individuals who have an interest in becoming Registered Financial Planners, helping people make wise decisions about their finances by providing expert advice and guidance. The course covers a wide range of topics, from investing principles to insurance planning and retirement planning. Throughout the program, there are also various simulations that help you build your skills as a financial planner.
I must say, completing this course was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! Not only did I gain more knowledge on how to manage finances but I also gained valuable insight into how to provide sound financial guidance to others. What I found particularly interesting was how the program focused not just on providing practical advice but also on creating an ethical approach towards delivering services based on trust and integrity.
Apart from gaining expertise in finance and sound ethical practices, taking the RFP program has also benefitted me in other ways. Having “RFP” after my name now gives me more credibility when talking to clients, and it has helped boost my confidence as a financial planner. Additionally, the program has also given me access to a wider network of financial planning professionals, giving me the opportunity to expand my business and increase my knowledge.
Overall, I am extremely glad that I took this course and achieved the RFP designation. I am confident it has opened up a world of opportunities, and that I will be able to help countless people reach their financial goals in the future.
For anyone looking for a way to increase their understanding of finance or give back by helping others become financially secure – whether it’s for business purposes or personal use – then I highly recommend registering for the RFP program!

The RFP® designation ensures applicants possess the knowledge, skills, and attributes to evaluate and manage various wealth forms to optimize their clients’ financial situations.
This certification opens doors for professionals who will come up against personal advisory services’ most challenging and complex aspects of personal finance.
RFP® professionals will demonstrate a firm grasp of financial instruments, including insurance, real estate management, how business income sources affect the client’s financial situation, and estate planning.
