SSS Online Registration: How to Register in My.SSS

Do you want to register your SSS account online?

That’s actually a good idea!

Registering to SSS Online is your gateway to viewing your SSS contributions, generating SSS Payment Reference Number (PRN) before paying your contributions, and applying for SSS benefits.

There’s so much you can do if you are registered in SSS Online.

And the best part is you do not have to go to the SSS branch to do most of these transactions.

Using your smartphone or computer with internet connection, you can easily access your SSS account anytime you want and anywhere you are.

Can I share with you my experience?

It was in 2012 when I first learned that I can view my SSS contributions online.

I was so happy when I saw my total contributions and when I discovered how easy it was to file or apply for SSS benefits online.

True enough, when I gave birth to my first child in 2013, I was able to avail of my maternity benefit from the SSS which at that time was ₱39,000 for CS delivery. It was a big help.

Now, it’s your turn to take advantage of the SSS online facility.

Follow the steps below on how to register in SSS online, and if by any chance, there’s something that you did not understand, go further down and post your comment. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Sounds  good? 🙂 Let’s start…

What is a My.SSS account?

The online portal of the SSS is known as My.SSS and you can find it at www.sss.gov.ph.

My.SSS is an easy-to-use online service platform that enables registered SSS members to access their social security records online safely and conveniently.

Before My.SSS was launched, most of us would normally go to the SSS branch and wait in long lines to view and pay our contributions and  to file for benefits.

But we don’t need to do that anymore except for some transactions that require personal appearance.

With the My.SSS online facility, all you need is a smartphone or computer that’s connected to the internet.

And with just a few clicks, you’ll be able to do your transactions 24/7 including weeknights, weekends, and even when the SSS office is closed.

Why Register in My.SSS Online?

Once you are registered in the SSS online portal, you can:

  • Check your SSS contributions
  • View, download, and print your membership records
  • Apply for SSS Benefits like SSS maternity benefit
  • File for SSS Salary Loan
  • Check your SSS loan repayment records
  • View details on your SSS benefit claims
  • Schedule appointments with an SSS branch

The SSS website works best with Internet Explorer. If you are using other browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari, try Internet Explorer too.

Update 1: The SSS website has been down since April 18, 2020 soon after the Small Business Wage Subsidy was launched. According to SSS, they are currently updating their servers.

I will update this page once the SSS site becomes operational.

Update 2: As of April 24, 2020, the SSS website is operational but it is temporarily dedicated for employers to apply for the Small Business Wage Subsidy (SBWS) program on behalf of their employees.

Please read SSS’ advisory below.

Update 3: As of July 8, 2020, the SSS website has been updated. It looks better, it loads faster, and it’s easier to navigate now. Watch this video below to see how it looks like.

You have to activate your UMID card first in the SSS information terminal at select SSS branches.

Just to share…

When I started blogging and vlogging in 2015, one of the first topics I published was about SSS Online tutorials.

I was surprised with the number of views that I got and the number of people who were very thankful of the tutorials I made on how to register online and how to view SSS contributions online.

Since then, I became passionate about helping people by publishing blog posts and videos on YouTube.

Even if I wasn’t earning anything back then, the “thank you” comments and emails were more than enough to keep me motivated and to continue doing what I was doing for the sake of those who need and benefit from my content.

At one point, the Social Security System noticed some of my SSS-related content, and they commissioned me to publish an article about the SSS Loan Restructuring Program.

That blog post is still on the first page of Google for certain keywords and I believe it has helped both the SSS to collect payment and the SSS members to pay their loans easily by taking advantage of the LRP.

Five years later, The Pinay Investor is still publishing blog posts and videos to help and teach people about various online services including SSS, online banking services, and more.

For that, I thank you for your trust and support.

May God continue to guide me in serving you through this work that He has given me for His glory.

If this blog post has helped and blessed you in anyway, I appreciate it if you could please support me by doing any of the following:

  1. Subscribe to our Mailing List so that you’ll be the first to know when I publish new posts.
  2. Post a comment below.
  3. Like and Follow us on our Facebook Page.
  4. Subscribe to our YouTube Channel.
  5. Email me at janice@thepinayinvestor.com

Thank you again for your time and God bless you.
