I believe that all of us have been given the opportunity to wield influence in our own unique ways.
We live in a world where everyone is connected and has access to an unprecedented level of communication, allowing us to spread ideas, life stories, and values far beyond our own communities. Whether it be through writing, speaking, or even creating art, each person has the power to create ripples of positive change in the lives of others.
No matter how small or insignificant our individual contributions may seem at first, they can have a profound and lasting impact on those around us. We can use our influence to encourage others to make a difference in the world, to open their eyes to different perspectives, and to promote positive values.
We can be a source of hope, inspiration, and guidance for those in need.
We can inspire others through our own successes and serve as role models for those who feel they lack the ability to achieve their goals.
We can motivate others to take action and to use their own talents in service of the greater good.
We can challenge the status quo and provide support when people are being oppressed or mistreated.
How I use my platform to make an impact
As a content creator and speaker, I’m often overwhelmed by the exciting opportunity of having influence over so many people’s minds and hearts.
Taking that responsibility seriously, reading “The Difference You Make: Changing Your World through the Impact of Your Influence” by Pat Williams with Jim Denney inspired me to focus on how that could look for me specifically.
My passion behind the platform God has blessed me with lies in teaching financial principles — budgeting, saving, investing, and financial planning from a Biblical perspective — in an effort to help families and especially moms who are struggling with money matters.
Ultimately, I hope the words I speak will have a lasting impact on those readers, viewers, or listeners that come alongside my journey because they feel they can trust me to encourage them through practice and knowledge rather than panic or worry.
I understand that managing finances can be an overwhelming task that often leaves us feeling discouraged or helpless. It is definitely something I have personally struggled with in the past (and still do today!). Yet I remain determined to learn from my mistakes and encourage others to do the same.
Money management is a serious business, as poor choices can have long-term ramifications for individuals and for families in particular. The reality is that financial hardship resulting from debts or bad investments can put an immense amount of stress on relationships.
It’s for this very reason that I’m passionate about helping others learn what it takes to be wise with money, from budgeting responsibly, saving for a rainy day, and investing wisely.
In addition to providing resources on money management, I use my platform as a means of empowering other women to pursue their dreams and live with purpose. By showing them that it is possible to achieve success in every area of life — including their finances — I hope to inspire confidence and motivate others to take action and make a positive difference in the world.
I am also committed to making sure that my message reaches women from all walks of life — not just those who are already on a path to success. My desire is that everyone should be able to benefit from the lessons I share, regardless of their income level or financial situation.
The truth is that there isn’t any one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to managing your finances effectively. It requires consistent effort in learning how to properly prioritize your needs before wants. As someone who has made mistakes in the past (and still does sometimes) when it comes to our family’s finances, I understand the importance of having a plan in place — no matter how simple or complicated it may be — and the courage it takes to stick with it when things get tough.
I also recognize that everyone’s situation is different, which is why I strive to create content and resources that are tailored to the individual needs of my audience. From budgeting tips to investment advice, I am dedicated to providing practical ideas and strategies that can help people make the best decisions with their money.
My platform is also a place where I can share my own personal story and experiences, as well as those of the people I meet along the way. It’s important to me that we hear from each other and learn from our mistakes in order to become better stewards of our finances.
At the end of the day, my goal is to empower people to take control of their finances and live a life of financial freedom, so that they can focus on what matters most: living with purpose and making an impact in our world.
Practical tips to handle your money wisely
Having voiced all of this, however, doesn’t mean that there aren’t any strategies worth noting along the way.
For starters, having a budget is key as it helps provide clarity on where our money goes each month, giving us insight into which expenses we need to cut back on or even eliminate altogether (such as gym memberships or subscription services).
Additionally, understanding the basics of stocks and bonds can help increase our investment portfolio; however, taking risks should always be tempered by wisdom as well.
Furthermore, setting realistic savings goals based on personal preferences (whether short-term or long-term) will give us something tangible to work towards. Setting smaller achievable goals help keep us motivated throughout the process until that big goal has been achieved.
And finally, don’t forget about discussing matters related to insurance policies and retirement plans with loved ones. Speaking openly about these topics will ensure everyone involved is aware of potential outcomes down the road should anything happen unexpectedly.
It’s important not only for us but also for future generations that we teach ourselves proper money management skills so that we can pass them on down the line. In essence, taking responsibility for our finances, not only our own but also those of others, is an act of service rooted in love and compassion; something we should all strive towards regardless of where we are at financially right now.
When it comes down to it, being responsible stewards of our money is a journey that requires patience and dedication. Learning how to manage our finances properly doesn’t happen overnight; it takes time and effort every day in order for us to see results over time.
As a content creator, my goal is to not only provide helpful guidance on responsible money management but also be a source of motivation and encouragement throughout this journey, recognizing both successes and failures alike while offering support along the way.
With God guiding us through every step we take together towards becoming better stewards of HIS resources, I’m confident He will bring us all closer to achieving our financial dreams, according to His will, in Jesus’ name. We don’t know the future, but He does, and I’m excited to see what the Lord has planned for each of us.
Using your Influence for Good
Everyone has influence, whether we recognize it or not. Whether you are an entrepreneur or stay-at-home mom, rich or poor, married or single, young or old — each and every one of us has some degree of influence over how people think and act around us.
The question is not whether you have influence, but rather what you do with your influence once you become aware of it.
It’s important to always be cognizant of the impact our words and actions can have on others. After all, it is often said that one person with passion is greater than forty people merely interested in an issue.
With this knowledge in mind, we are presented with a choice:
Do we want to use our position of influence to impress others with our power and success?
Or do we want to focus on using our influence to make a positive contribution to the lives of those around us?
Decide whether you want to impress people or influence people.
The choice is yours.
Taking time to reflect upon your own influence can help you develop a strong sense of self-awareness and ensure that you use your power in ways that positively affect others.
In order to make wise decisions concerning how we use our influence, it is essential to operate from a place of compassion towards both ourselves and others.
We need to understand that no one is perfect but everyone can strive for excellence. Mistakes will be made along the way but these should serve as learning experiences instead of being sources of guilt and regret.
Additionally, when interacting with others who may not share the same values as us, respect must be shown in spite of any differences in opinions or beliefs. Only when our words are delivered with love can they truly have a lasting impact on another individual’s life.
Every day we are presented with opportunities to use our influence for good and make an impact in someone else’s life. No matter how large or small your platform may be, you have the power to create ripples of positive change in the world, and that is something worth striving for.
So let us use our influence to create a better world, one person at a time.
Use your voice to be an advocate, use your platform to promote positivity, and strive to make each day a little bit better for someone else. Our collective efforts can make the world a better place for all.
Take action today!
Someone saw something in you once. And that’s partly why you are where you are today.
PAY IT FORWARD.
Ask yourself these questions:
- Who am I going to impact with my influence today?
- Is there someone in my life right now who needs my influence and encouragement?
- What is one thing I can do today to make someone else’s life a little bit brighter?
You have been given an incredible gift, so go out there and use it! Don’t wait for tomorrow to begin making a difference. Start using your influence for good today!
God bless you and may He use each of us as vessels of hope, love, and joy in this world. May our influence be one that honors Him and fulfills His great purpose for each of our lives.
